December 15 – Announcing Mind Your Money Pro

The Pro version of Mind Your Money is now available on the App Store. The Pro version is an alternative to downloading the Free version and then unlocking the App with the In-App purchase option. We’ve found that some users like to buy the app straight out of the gate, and don’t necessarily want a “Try Before you Buy” option. If that sounds like you, then check out this version of the app.

Please note, if you’re already a Mind Your Money user then you want to continue to use the Free version. The products are virtually the same, just the method of purchase differs. Unless you want to create two separate budgets with Mind Your Money, in which case you could use the Pro version to track a separate budget.

An update for Mind Your Money has been pushed to Apple for approval. This update includes two import fixes to bugs that showed up after Apple’s iOS 4.2 update.

The first bug, is in the “Settings” screen, when you try to edit your budget amount, the keyboard does not come up. This problem is frustrating to new users because one of the first things they try to do, it set their Budget amount. We do apologize for this.

The other bug that was found is in the “Expenses” Screen and in the “History” Screen. If you’re running iOS 4.2, then you’re probably seeing duplicate entries in these screens and the Total Rows are missing. Please know that this is a display only problem and your data is safe and has not been duplicated. Do not try to correct the problem by removing one of the entries.

The update also includes these enhancements to the application

* iOS 4.2 tested with multi-tasking support
* You can now add credits or income items.
* When using the free version, you can now add unlimited expenses, but you can not customize your categories, nor export your data. These features can be unlocked with an in-app purchase. If you previously purchased “Unlimited Expenses” that purchase will transfer over.

November 23 — The Offical Group Trivia launch

Today marked the official release date of our new app Group Trivia, a free trivia game that you can play with your friends across the country and around the world. We’ve contracted the services of Duo Marketing & PR to get the word out and it looks like they’ve been busy. I received an email from them earlier today with links to sites picking up the story…

Also, Bruce Goldberg of The Denver Business Journal is going to publish an interview with me talking about the app on Dec 10, 2010 in his column “Street Talk”.

The Group Trivia app has been released and is on the App Store! Challenge your friends from anywhere in the world. Invite as many friends as you want. Play as long as your want. Then find out what they answered!

We’ve created a new version of our Mind Your Money App. Unfortunately, Apple will not let us release the app until we make some changes. Apple is not too keen on the idea of “Try Before you Buy” software. So please do stand by while we make some changes and get in compliance with Apple’s app store requirements.
